What is The Coterie Retreat?
The Coterie Retreat is a wedding and event industry conference presented by Munaluchi for professionals who service the multicultural market. You can expect 3 days of powerful speakers, workshops, panels, hands-on opportunities, parties, and plenty of networking. If you’re looking to take your creative business to new heights, this is the conference to be at. Plus, you’ll have a chance to build lasting relationships with industry peers.
What is The Coterie?
The Coterie is the exclusive wedding collective curated by the Editors at MunaLuchi Bride Magazine. The retreat was created out of a desire for our members to connect with one another and with their industry peers. All event industry creatives are invited to attend. I’m not a Coterie Member. Can I still attend??
Of course! The conference is open to all event and wedding industry professionals.
What is the cost to attend?
The cost is $2800 per Coterie Member attendee and $3200 for non-members during the early bird period. After March 31st, pricing will be $3200 for Coterie Members and $3600 for non-members. A $500 deposit is required to hold your spot during Early Bird Registration.

4 Nights, 5 Days at a 5 Star Luxury Hotel (double occupancy) for Sun, Mon, Tues & Wed

Is there an Early Bird discount code?
Early bird registration is until March 31st and gives you $400 off the normal registration price and the opportunity to set up a payment plan for your balance. After the Early bird registration period, a 50% deposit will be required to register.
Who will I share a room with?
If you have a "friendor" that's coming along with you, let us know in the comments section of the registration form and we can pair you together in a room. Otherwise, we'll match you up with someone 6 weeks before the retreat.
I'd rather have my own room. Is that possible?
Yes, if you'd like to have an individual room, there will be a slight increase in your registration price depending on the type of room you prefer and occupancy. Email us at email@example.com for pricing details.
Is the venue family friendly?
Yes! The venue for the Coterie Retreat is family friendly. If you are bringing your family with you, and would like a larger accommodation, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for accommodation information. Please note - the Coterie Retreat is an adult only conference. Your children will not be able to join us for any conference related activities.
I see that hotel accommodations are included in the registration price. What if I don't want to stay at the venue?
Staying at the venue gives you the ultimate experience at the Coterie Retreat. Often times, it's those random moments in the hotel lobby or lounge area where some of the most meaningful conversations happen. We don't want you to miss out on all the magic so accommodations are included with your registration. If you choose NOT to stay at the host venue, there will be a $250 difference in the registration price.
Can I bring my spouse or significant other?
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring your spouse or significant other. If your spouse or significant other would like to join us for the evening events there will be a charge of $550 for the three evening events (welcome party, white party, gala). Plus an up-charge for a single Superior Room. There are no individual event charges, just one charge that includes all three events.
I'm not registered for the retreat but only want to attend the evening parties. Is that possible?
If you are a significant other or spouse of a registered attendee, you are welcome to join us for our evening events. The cost is $550 and includes all three evening events.
I’m planning to attend with my business partner. Is there a discount for team members?
Yes! A $250 discount for all team members from the same company is available.
Can I stay longer or arrive early for the Retreat?
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to arrive early or leave later to allow yourself time to explore cultural Johannesburg. If you decide to extend your stay, email us at email@example.com and we will put you in touch with our Travel Partners who can provide pricing for your extended stay.
Are there any scholarships to attend the retreat?
There will be some scholarship opportunities available before March. Make sure you are on the mailing list for news and updates!

I can no longer attend the retreat. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, we are unable to refund any payments that have been made. You are able to transfer your ticket to another individual but you must take care of the transfer on your own and provide proof of the transfer by August 31st.
