Kareem Virgo

Kareem Virgo was studying to be an accountant at Florida Atlantic University when he discovered photography. What started as a hobby after his graduation soon became a career fueled with a fiery passion for capturing the authentic emotions of couples and all the beautiful details that make up their wedding day. 

Recently named one of the best wedding photographers in the United States, Kareem’s passion for documenting love stories birthed REEM Photography - a wedding and lifestyle photography company he co-founded with his wife, Sandy. REEM stands for Reliving Each and Every Moment. It is what guides them when they’re behind the lens creating images. 

 Within three years as a luxury wedding and lifestyle photographer, the husband and wife duo have shot the cover of two major bridal magazines, and their works featured on Essence, New York Times, BET, Brides Magazine, Good Morning America and more. During the pandemic, they created and offered free virtual photography shoots to people across the country. The photo sessions spurred on love and positivity during the lockdown period.

Kareem, born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, and Sandy, raised in Southern Florida, share a worthy love rooted in faith, trust, and black heritage.

They are proud to keep the fire of black love burning through the adoration and respect they have for each other and committed to capturing and documenting - for future generations - the commonality, friendship, optimism, and support that black love represents.
